So You Think You Want to be an Innkeeper?

Are you dreaming of running your own cozy bed and breakfast? Experience the real day-to-day life of an innkeeper with our immersive 5-day, one-on-one training program!

Program Overview

For just $1,000 plus the cost of your room (at a 20% discounted rate), you’ll get personalized, hands-on experience in every aspect of innkeeping. Work directly alongside our experienced innkeeper and learn what it takes to make an inn run smoothly.

Program Availability

Available from May to October, once a month.
Limited to one participant per session to ensure personalized training and attention.

What You'll Do:

Day 1: Welcome and Introduction
- Arrive and settle into your room.
- Orientation meeting and tour of the property.
- Overview of daily responsibilities and expectations.
Day 2: Breakfast and Room Preparation
- Assist with preparing and serving breakfast to our guests.
- Learn the art of setting a welcoming breakfast table.
- Help clean and prepare guest rooms for new arrivals.
Day 3: Guest Interaction and Housekeeping
- Greet and check in new guests.
- Handle guest inquiries and provide local recommendations.
- Participate in daily housekeeping duties to keep the inn spotless.
Day 4: Yard Work and Maintenance
- Work in the yard, maintaining the garden and outdoor areas.
- Learn basic maintenance tasks essential for keeping the inn in top shape.
Day 5: Working the Pub and Wrap-Up
- Assist in the pub, serving drinks and engaging with guests.
- Final meeting to review your experience and discuss any questions you may have about running your own inn.

Program Cost:

$1,000 for the 5-day, one-on-one training program.
Enjoy a 20% discount on your room rate during your stay.
