Welcome to the
White Sails Inn
A Cozy Kennebunk Bed and Breakfast
Welcome to the White Sails Inn, a quintessential Kennebunk bed and breakfast. The inn, previously known as the Elizabeth Rose House, sold on April 5, 2022, to Maine native, Armand Boudreau, and was sold again as the White Sails Inn on May 5, 2023, to Susanne Lillis, a 19-year-long Rangeley, Maine resident born and raised in Sonderborg, Denmark.
Since then, there have been exciting changes to the property, including interior painting and new décor, landscaping, the addition of the Shipwreck Pub in 2022, an outdoor fire pit, a refreshed patio area with chaise lounges, and more. A two-room suite was also added providing a great option for extended family or unique quarters for two couples traveling together. The inn has retained its charm; however, the cozy coastal Maine vibe has been maintained. Check out all our rooms!
Wake up to freshly brewed coffee or a cup of tea. Get ready for the day after enjoying our homemade 3-course breakfast.
The Inn is located 4 miles from Kennebunk Beach, 6 miles to Wells Beach, and 10 miles to Ogunquit Beach. We provide beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, and parking passes on a first come basis. We are close to everything the area has to offer, only 40 minutes from downtown Portland, 1 1/2 hours from Boston, and 5 minutes from Exit 25 and all points north and south.
The Inn is great for couples’ getaways, family reunions, girlfriends’ weekends, or small corporate retreats. We also offer a private meeting room with space for up to 12 people. The Inn is not suitable for children under the age of 12.

Stunning and clean Inn near the coast of Maine We were greeted warmly by the innkeeper, Suzanne, upon arriving . Our room was clean and comfortable with charming nautical and cottage themed accessories. The bathroom was well appointed with a ceiling heat lamp, deep soaking tub, and soft, luxurious towels. Each evening, Suzanne prepared homemade cookies and had a selection of hot and cold beverages in the dining room for us to choose. Breakfast was delicious! Everything was fresh, homemade, and tailored to our dietary restrictions. I would say the White Sails Inn has a European sensibility set in a traditional New England historic B &B. We will be back in the summer to enjoy the inviting screen porch and outdoor fireplace area. Thank you, Suzanne, for a truly relaxing experience.
Really enjoyed my experience at the White Sails. The room was exceptionally clean and well done and the breakfast was delicious. Booked for my birthday one night only and was able to stay an extra night due to inclement weather. Susanna was very accommodating would both return and recommend.

Pleasant winter stay This was a lovely place to stay while on the southern Maine coast. Comfortable room, walking distance to town, and a warm welcome by the owner, Susanne. Not only is she an accommodating host, she is an incredible breakfast cook. Both breakfasts were wonderful tasty and inventive. The afternoon cookies were pretty special, too. The little pub (for guests) was a nice touch. We are looking forward to our next visit.
My Dad stayed here while visiting us in the Wells area. The house was beautiful, clean and Susanna was so friendly! Amazing rooms, delicious breakfast, and coffee and tea was available anytime. … Read more
