Originally known as the Elizabeth Rose House, the inn was first sold on April 5, 2022, to Maine native Armand Boudreau. On May 5, 2023, it found its new owner in Susanne Lillis, who brings a rich heritage from her Danish roots and nearly two decades of life in Rangeley, Maine.
Since then, the inn has undergone thoughtful enhancements while maintaining its cozy, coastal Maine charm. From fresh interior paint and updated décor to new landscaping features, the addition of the Shipwreck Pub in 2022, a relaxing outdoor fire pit, and a revamped patio, the White Sails Inn is more welcoming than ever. We’ve also added a spacious two-room suite—ideal for extended family stays or couples traveling together.

The Inn is located 4 miles from Kennebunk Beach, 6 miles to Wells Beach, and 10 miles to Ogunquit Beach. We provide beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, and parking passes on a first come basis. We are close to everything the area has to offer, only 40 minutes from downtown Portland, 1 1/2 hours from Boston, and 5 minutes from Exit 25 and all points north and south.
The Inn is great for couples’ getaways, family reunions, girlfriends’ weekends, or small corporate retreats. We also offer a private meeting room with space for up to 12 people. The Inn is not suitable for children under the age of 12.
